Party #3

Kaitlynn's 3rd birthday party this year was with her friends at the Rec Center having a gymnastics party. She had a good time until she hurt her knee, then she was a grump and wouldn't smile for anything. She did have a good time though. Thanks to everyone who could make it!

Party #2

Kaitlynn's 2nd birthday party for this year was on Easter at Grandma's house. The Easter bunny left like 3 basketfuls of candy and eggs for Kaitlynn to find. She had a bunny cake, but from what I heard... that bunny cake pan has been around for years. It got put to good use this year!

Kaitlynn really enjoys her cousin Derek. She loves him and loves to pose for pictures with him.

Kaitlynn's 4th birthday parties - Party #1

Not that we spoil our daughter or anything... but Kaitlynn ended up with 3 birthday parties this year.

Chuck E Cheese party with the family:

Kaitynn blowing out her candle. I think that this was the first year that she actually knew what to do and how to blow it out without spitting on it!

Playing with aunt Lyndsay in the climbing jungle gym. I think Lyndsay was a little over the maximum weight and age limit (but not by much) but they both had fun!

Playing with Uncle Troy... always one of her favorite things to do!

Scott thrilled to be loved on by his parents, Ed and Kathleen.

Kaitlynn playing Skeeball for the first time. She threw more balls on the floor and into the other lanes than she did in her own lane. She has that left-armed swing that is a little dangerous!

Kaitlynn had fun! This is the 3rd year that we have gone to Chuck E Cheese with the family. I think that the family enjoys it just as much as she does!

New Bike!

Kaitlynn got an early birthday present of a new bike! She was so excited! She did have to learn how to stop, but did get the hang of it.

Playing in the Park

Kaitlynn and I joined our neighbors and friends at the park for a little spring fun.

HOSTAGE

This coffee mug was left at our home after I was scolded for not posting more often. Paybacks are a b*tch! The mug is now our hostage. See it and weep. You know who you are. Ransom demands will be coming soon! Consider this blog updated.

My mother

My mother, Rose Mary Brunner, passed away on February 9th, 2007. She suffered a brain aneurysm and did not wake up from it. She was 64 years old. Miss ya Mama!

Christmas 2006

Kaitlynn was so excited for all the things that Santa brought for her. She got lots of sweatshirts, a purse, and a Dora cash register. She did get a lot of other things too. She loved it. Santa came to our house a day early (since I had to work)... so Kaitlynn got several days of Christmas.

Kaitlynn's Uncle Mark helped her open her Christmas Eve present. She really loves dressing up now "like a princess" she says.

Santa came to Grandma's house too. She got a firetruck and a Dora castle.

Kaitlynn's cousin Derek was dressed for the occasion.

Papa got some smiles out of Derek.

All tuckered out from so much giving and opening presents!

Happy Holidays to everyone and have a wonderful new year!

Mark & Sherry visiting

After ice skating, we went back to the house and Kaitlynn opened her Christmas gift from Sherry and Mark.
Sherry and I have been friends since 5th grade. It's amazing how much we have grown and changed... and still appreciate and love each other! It was nice to spend time with them.

Ice Skating party

Kaitlynn went to her best friend, Addy's birthday party. Kaitlynn had never been ice skating before, but she did really well. My best friend, Sherry, and her husband Mark came up to visit us from the Springs that same day, so we all went ice skating! Scott really doesn't like ice skating, so he stayed off the ice and took pictures.

Kaitlynn didn't last long on her skates, but she didn't complain and no one fell down!

New friends

We have made some new friends down the street. We have a lot in common, in fact, it's a little creepy how much we have in common. We have started spending time together and the kids enjoy each other's company too.

Kortny and Kaison (he'll be 3 in March) came over to make cookies for Santa. Steven stayed home with Khyler (she is 3 months old.)

The kids got to play outside for a little while, but it was really cold out!

Holiday Blizzard

Well, we sure got a lot of snow! I drove home from work yesterday and it took me over 2 hours to drive from Greeley in the morning. Scott left work at 1030 and didn't get home until 130. I was supposed to go to work last night, but I wasn't willing to risk myself to get up there and get stranded up there.... so it goes.

We dug ourselves out this afternoon. I don't think Scott's car will be going anywhere for a while.

Visiting with Santa

Kaitlynn and I went to Flat Irons Mall to see Santa this year. She wouldn't sit on his lap, but she told him what she wanted this year "sweatshirts, a purse, Dora cash register, and Diego Rescue center." She did give him a hug and the photographer took a quick shot.

We then did some shopping and then went back to see Santa as Kaitlynn said that she would sit on his lap this time and I could take a picture... but Santa was feeding the reindeer and wouldn't be back for an hour. So we went home... and luckily Santa was visiting our neighborhood! How cool is that? So she told Santa again what she wanted for Christmas and wasn't scared of him at all.

Halloween

Kaitlynn woke up Halloween morning with a really sore throat. Later that week she ended up with croup (swelling around her vocal chords with upper respiratory infection - no voice and a cough like a barking seal). She didn't feel very good on Halloween, but she was a trooper and did lots of trick-or-treating. She could barely even say "trick or treat" and "thank you"... but she made it through the night.

Now we have way too much candy and Scott and I can't stop eating it! UG!

Kaitlynn loved her costume and wore it alot! We were glad that she picked a warm costume this year since it was so cold out... but no snow or rain!

Kaitlynn's Halloween party at preschool

Kaitlynn's preschool class was the only grade level that could dress up for Halloween... times are a-changing that's for sure! She dressed up as Cheer Bear (a Care Bear).
